Waiting for positive news on the health emergency and the prospects for a gradual return to normality, work is progressing in Treviso on what promises to be one of the most interesting new developments of the year: from 11 to 13 June at Opendream, the location developed in the spaces of the former Pagnossin Ceramics, Open Bike Fest will bring for the first time in the city and the cycling province par excellence an event dedicated to the bike sector at 360°.
In view of another summer that will probably be dominated by proximity tourism, cycling and cycle tourism promise to further consolidate as an extraordinary economic driver: a trend that the new event inspired by the idea of Damaso Zanardo, CEO of Opendream, aims to develop in a thorough and transversal way.
Open Bike Fest will feature an exhibition of the great brands of two wheels, bike tests on the routes of an area naturally suited to the two wheels – starting with the “natural” meeting with the Treviso-Ostiglia – but also cycling experiences in the area, culture, training and study on the world of two wheels, and discovery of all those excellences that characterize Treviso and Veneto, in Italy and beyond.
A new concept, that can count on an organizational team of great experience and roots in the world of cycling, tourism and events.
Alongside CEO Damaso Zanardo, the organising committee of Open Bike Fest is led by an authoritative figure such as President Luca Businaro, CEO of Novation Tech SpA and former President of AssoSport from 2010 to 2018.
The organizational direction is instead entrusted to Maurizio Evangelista, owner of communications and events agency Vitesse Europe, boasting thirty years of experience in the world of international events, including some remarkable initiatives in the Treviso area. Vitesse Europe has also taken over responsibility for the communication and media area, headed by David Evangelista, already Head of Media at leading international events.
Giorgio Buzzavo, formerly Deus Ex Machina of VerdeSport and now linked to the new reality of Montello Bike Resort, will manage the Presidency Office and relations with entrepreneurs, assisted in this role by Eleonora Magri. Orsola Marchi Rigoli, instead, will be at the head of the Side Events area, in an appointment that promises to focus strongly on in-depth analysis from every angle.
At the head of the marketing and PR area will be Andrea Vidotti, an established professional in the world of sport-industry, working alongside top athletes such as Dorothea Wierer, Christof Innerhofer and Matteo Trentin. Vidotti’s partner in the AV company, Andrea Franzoi is also part of the Open Bike Fest team in the role of sponsorship manager.
With their 20 years of experience in the bike and accessories industry, linked to two distinct editorial paths, Emiliano Neri and Luciano Crestani of the company Chilometro 162 are the sales interfaces of Open Bike Fest in the relationship with manufacturers of bikes, accessories, clothing, and all sectors related to the two wheels sector.
